Computers form a gateway  for children with special needs and children in general education classes to interact with their teachers.  This interactive form between teachers and students with the use of computers could also be extended to the parents as well who may not have the opportunity or time to meet with the teacher in person but have the use of email or in the public schools where the student identification is linked with the progress report card.  As educators or future educators the use of computers in the classroom also benefits the children, because it could be an extension of a class without being physically being in the classroom via the use of emails or other links provided by the teacher.  The use of the smartboard helps within the confines of the classroom to help  facilitate the teacher for the advancement of his or her students through technology.  This could be done through educational links provided by teacher who could monitor each student from her computer without having to walk around to each student.  Technology is an advancement in the classroom by use of computers and should be embrace by all educators to benefit our students.  The future lies within  technology and the computers provided in the classrooms for teacher and students.   As an educator, the use of computers in the classroom servers as a  technological advancement and should be embraced for its educational benefits for our kids future.
